Calculation of the Radar Coverage for a Specific Path

Percentage of image area illuminated by each radar position along the flight path.

The radar coverage as a function of radar position is defined as the percentage of the computational increments (CI) in the user-defined image area that are illuminated by the radar for ach radar position. Other definitions are possible and available.

Radar positions that illuminate at least one CI in the image area are shown in red. User defined image area is shown in blue.
